I can still remember the day when the PSLE result slips were released. On that day itself, many students and parents were gathered in school to collect the PSLE result slips. The principal of my Primary School made a speech to congratulate all the students for graduating from primary education. When it was my turn to receive my result slip, I felt really anxious from the fear of not getting to the secondary school of my choice. When I looked into my result slip after receiving it, my face brightened up. I got an aggregrate score of 248! Although I initially wanted to get into Dunman High School, however, Victoria School is not half-bad at all. When I walked towards my parents, the only words I muttered out were 'Victoria....Victoria.....Victoria'. I think my parents probably knew what I meant because the moment we reached home, they put my 1st choice as Victoria School. Days passed in a flash and soon it was the day for the secondary school posting results to be released. When I logged into the website the 1st thing I saw was "You have been posted to Victoria School". With that, I felt a sudden rush of joy in me. Up till now, I have not regretted my choice. I believe this is where I will learn and grow to become a gentleman, a sportsman and a professional. Nil Sine Labore

The 1st year of my secondary school life just past in a flash. Thinking back I don't think I had achieved much to my expectations. My results suck and I get lectured now and then for being such a slacker as a secondary school student....being a student in a prestigious school sure is hard. As this year will be the streaming year, I have to make sure I do well in all my subjects in order to get the best subject combination for myself. As my parents always say "Please work hard now for yourself and you will have a better future", for sure doing badly will definitely affect achieving my targeted goals. I have decided not to be a slacker, I need to do something to ensure I achieve getting the best subject combination.
